It’s that in places where the stakes are real, responsibility often arrives wearing the exact personality traits that shallow leadership finds inconvenient.

And if you learn to read that early—if you learn the difference between a difficult person and a necessary one—you can save yourself, your company, and maybe a whole lot more than a contract.
